Stacie Ran 1.1 Miles

Our town hosted a half marathon race. They had a race for the kids afterwards. The school that had the most kids enter to run 1.1 miles won $200 for new basketballs. Stacie's school won!
I was a little worried about Stacie running 1.1 miles, but we had practiced all month and every child that ran/walked 12 miles to prepare for the race got a special medal (they had over a month to do the 12 miles), so she was able to get that medal too, Yay!

I love that she waved at me as she finished her run. I am one proud Mama.

She was able to run the entire 1.1 miles. We are so proud of her. She ran it in under 10min =)
   Way to go Stacie!

Happy Easter!

We had such a wonderful Easter Sunday. Stacie woke up at 6:30am. She saw eggs all over the living room and could not wait to find her basket. We made her lay in bed with us until 7:30am and then we all got up to search for what the Easter Bunny left us.
Church was wonderful, even my little (I had 10 kids, so it didn't feel that little) sunbeam class did really well.
After church we went over to the Boone's house and had a great Easter dinner with the Patterson's and the Hunsacker's. We feel very blessed to have such a fantastic ward family when we miss our own families so much.

Gran't basket was in his high chair. He was actually really excited to see it.
Stacie followed the trail of eggs into the kitchen and found her basket in the fridge!

Easter Fun!

We took the kids to 3 different Easter egg hunts. We were gone from about 9:30am to 1:30pm and it was so much fun! Grant got the hang of collecting the eggs and said "ball" every time he picked one up. Stacie was a pro and got a ton of eggs. We also dyed Easter eggs, which I loooove to do. I love this holiday!

We just gave Grant a cup of water so that he could "dye" his egg. He kept peeling them first and then dipping them in the water. He would dip the egg and then lick it.

Trying To Take Pictures Of The Kids

I am really, really trying to take pictures of the kids. I even made a super cute headband for Stacie. My first mistake was to try and take pictures at 5pm. The sun was right in their faces. My next mistake was to go in an area that had those thorny sticker things EVERYWHERE. So, we will try again in the next week and see how that goes. All I need is one good picture of each of them alone and one of them together. Is that to much to ask? Hahaha, I guess I will find out.
Stacie fell off her scooter once and her bike twice. Her poor knees and legs =(

You trying to take a picture of me?
 There's her beautiful smile =D

Kiddo's At The Skate Park

He just runs around the whole time =)
My kids love to go to the Skate Park. We walk to pick up Stacie from school and then head on over, that way no older kids are there yet. Stacie has gotten really good at going up all the little ramps. Grant mostly runs around and slides down them on his bum.
Stacie has been trying to go up this jump for weeks =)

She's almost got it.
Go Stacie Go!

She did it!

He is so silly

Best Day Ever!

Ok, it was more like best 10 days ever. Helen came all the way from Idaho to stay with us. It is an 8 hour drive and her hubby Andrew was so sweet to bring her all the way here and then go home the very next morning. Helen and I had planned on going to the park and playing outside (since I live in an 800 square foot apartment) but it decided to snow non stop for 3 days! The good thing is that Stacie had 4 snow days! We loved the visit and had so much fun.

Grant and Dillon fought the whole time, but Grant loved Brooklynn and Stacie loved Dillon. Char (being the amazing brother that he is) worked until 3am and then left Idaho at 5am to come pick Helen up. They surprised me by bringing Sara along for the drive. They only got to stay the night and had to leave early  the next morning, but I was so glad that they came. I am so lucky to have such an amazing family :)

My Super Amazing Grandma

                           Grandma We Love You

I just need to say that my Grandma McDonald is AMAZING.

She made this town that I remember playing with as a child. My siblings and cousins would each have a house and we would get cars and play that we were the people in the town. It was so much fun.  Grandma made us all our own towns last year.

This year we each got a train set! It has a candy car, a coal car, a candy cane car, and one that opens. I remember spending hours playing with these and now we have our very own.

Stacie is using it as her My little Pony town right now. She has ponies stuffed in all the train cars.

I love you Grandma and I am astounded by how talented you are!

Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
